Halloween imageryI love Halloween and this year I discovered Penny Dreadful and wanted to capture the spirit of the Victorian Era and some superstition! I created the Fortune teller hat Ruth is wearing as the main piece of her costume. It is made with Vintage and found items, dried florals and yes... a raccoon skull. I'm selling it on Etsy if you'd like to capture this in a photo of your own making or want to get a jump on next years Halloween costume. I did the makeup for this shoot and wanted to create a moody lighting look that was dark and mimicked moon light. I hope I accomplished that! ;) I used a B800 on brolly at 1/8th power. This photo is my version of a traditional portrait. The dress Ruth is wearing is vintage from the 1920s and handmade. There are no zippers or buttons in this delicate lace and silk dress. I am also selling this dress on Etsy. It would make a perfect Downton Abbey dress!
I hope everyone had a great Halloween with loved ones and was able to dress up as whatever you fancy! I'm still on a sugar high!
